After I shared around that picture of Caz all gooey and latexy, one of my friends who also has a panther bud reached out to me with this. Seems like getting attacked by liquid latex is a common ‘problem’ with panthers! I do wonder how all of that goo got inside him in the first place, there was a location attached with the video and he is said to be liking his new rubbery form, so I may have to go check it out…
A note that has come up: I have noticed near the end of the video the felines animation freezes, this is not intentional and not meant to indicate anything.
This was quite the interesting R&D project indeed! I had learned some houdini and created a very basic ‘magnet fluid’ setup with a torus, and through some more testing and adding this popped out. Definitely going to have to use this setup for more stuff. Thanks to my friendo snowysouthpaw for letting me base this cat on his sona.
